Cheap Insurance Auto, What does it cover? Which coverages do I really need? How much liability insurance should I buy? Should I drop comprehensive and collision coverages? What will auto insurance cost me? How can I save money on it? What if I can’t get coverage?
Surprise! Your automobile insurance isn’t really one policy, at all. It’s a package of six different coverages. Some of them may be required by state law, depending on where you live. And those that are optional may or may not be important to you.
Whether you’ll buy all six coverages depends, among other things, on what kind of a vehicle you’re insuring. There’s a big difference between buying insurance for an $800 fifth-hand car for your 18-year-old, and your nearly new family station wagon!
I’ll be telling you a lot more about cheap insurance auto and each of these six coverages, but first, here’s a brief list of what the standard auto policy includes:
1. Bodily injury liability insurance is in case you cause an accident in which someone else is hurt or killed.
2. Property damage liability insurance is if you damage someone else’s property. Usually, of course, the damaged property is someone else’s car; but other types of property—like buildings, lamp posts, garage doors, and so on—are also covered.

Both bodily injury and property damage coverage will pay for yi legal defense if claims or suits are brought against you, which is important, because legal defense can be very, very expensive! The two coverages will also pay damages, up to the policy limit, if your insurer agrees (or a court decides) that you are legally liable for the injury or the property damage in question.
What situations are covered? Any situation in which your car is be driven by you, by members of your family who live with you, or by a one else who has your permission to drive it. These two coverages also apply when you (or any members of your family who live with you) driving somebody else’s car—as long as it is with the owner’s permission.
Make sure to get cheap insurance auto quotes by going here [2]. In some policies, as long as the other person has a “reasonable belief” that he or she is entitled to drive your car. An example: Your year-old son goes out drinking with his buddies. He has too much to drink and is clearly in no condition to drive. One of his friends drives him home and has an accident on the way. The friend could argue that he had a reasonable belief he was driving with your permission—and in many states, a court would agree.
What if the driver doesn’t have your permission? Obviously, if your car is stolen and the thief smashes it up, killing two people and ploughing through four storefronts while making his getaway after robbing bank, your policy isn’t going to pay for his liability!
